OverSound 350+ no.s 108-111

350+ no.s 108-111

No Changes, Just Some Changes

Down to just one OverSound 350+ in stock I set out to make another batch and that starts with inventory and parts orders. We decided at the beginning that all resistors would eventually be upgraded to 1/2 watt specs instead of 1/4 watt. Well, we’re running out so all the 10 ohm resistors have been upgraded in pedal no.s 108-111.

The only other change can be seen in the photos. The position of C2 (the tone cap) was changed to accommodate a tidier appearance and facilitate maintenance.

Totally Rad, Bitchin’ and Gnarly Dude!

These things just kick butt! I know I’m blowing my own horn here but, every time I build a batch I replace some other beloved overdrive or distortion pedal in my own rigs with a 350+ and am happier for it.

For some reason, I had not cascaded one 350+ into another until I finished this batch. I didn’t stop at one, either. One, two, three, four on the floor – what a sound! The Earth Sound Research went from “don’t wake the wife,” to “wake the dead,” with almost endless overdrive possibilities. The neatest part was how well defined and punchy the tone remained even with all four pedals cranked into their most extreme distortion. This of course required some serious fence building with the output knobs because… well damn, it was seriously loud!
