Where We’re From
Once upon a time on a small farm in the middle of nowhere a young man bought yet another new guitar. His lovely wife wasn’t furious but she wasn’t about to go deaf either so he was forced to move across the drive into a tiny little barn. Over time Small Barn Sound grew and worked on recording projects with many local artists. We did promotional work and education with Middle Tennessee Music. Hundreds of record reviews, live stream performances, concerts, benefits and a myriad of other musical adventures. Every thing has it’s season, though and after over a decade, we felt it was time to concentrate on other areas. We’ve spent the last two years rebuilding and preparing for an even more musical future!
Where We’re Going
“We’re going to the beach!” is what we’ll be saying come Spring but for the time being, Bret is hard at work developing and building the gear he has always wanted for the studio and Meg is creating beautiful stained glass art. There is no barn and both studios occupy the house so, we’re going house hunting soon!
The future for Small Barn Sound looks exciting to us! We aren’t currently taking clients but it won’t be long. There has been loads of interest in Small Barn Sound effects processors which are our main focus at the moment. Music is again coming from fingers and speakers and we are thrilled to be moving into a brave new artistic future with you!
